The Enchanted Highway
North from Regent to Interstate 94. Thirty miles of rural North
Dakota art. A series of gigantic metal sculptures, including The
World's Largest Tin Family, Theodore Roosevelt On Horseback, Pheasant
Family, Grasshoppers. Ten exhibits when completed.
Hettinger County Historical Society Museum
Regent. Named to the National
Register of Historic Places. Includes: Frontierland and Pioneer
Village, with tools, machinery, a school, a blacksmith shop, a drug
store, a church, Indian room, furnished pioneer rooms, rural and
ethnic heritage museum.

Camping & Hiking
Explore virgin prairies, buttes and rivers. Large acreage's of undisturbed

Hunt arrowheads on native grasslands. See teepee rings, village
sites. A variety of collectable rocks can be found, but the most
popular are petrified wood and fossils.
Canoeing
Glide along the Cannonball River and numerous smaller streams. Experience

Tractor Collection
Mott. A slice of rural nostalgia. Visit Ben Schaible's colorful
and extensive collection of old farm
tractors, restored to run and look like new. He started his collections
October of 1987. At last count he had over 120 tractors and over
20 bells.
His
first tractor, the one that got him going with his hobby, is
a 1929 2236 McCormick
tractor.
He took an interest in this tractor because
it is a replica of his first farm tractor. After that experience,
he realized how much pleasure he received from restoring these old
relics of North Dakota farm history.
Snowmobiling
When there is enough snow. Actually, this is less frequently than
you might think!

North America's Largest Scandinavian-American Celebration of Heritage,
History & Humanity.
Star
Watching & Northern Lights
Clear night skies give aramatic views of stars and constellations
unobstructed by mist or smog. Occasional nights when the Aurora
Borealis (Northern Lights) performs a ballet of shifting beams of
light that is a dramatic experience for those who don't mind staying
up late.
Trap Shoot
Rural New England. New England Gun Club conducts Thursday evening
trap shooting. Other sessions by appointment.
